HH Board of Directors Adopt New Vision and Mission Statement

Helping Hands Board of Directors at their November 9 board meeting adopted a new vision and mission statement. “The new vision and mission statement really defines who we are  and hopes to accomplish in the future. We are excited about what Helping Hands is doing in our county. The new vision and mission statement will help us develop goals for our future,” states Dick Rose, Helping Hands of Georgetown Board President. The mission and vision statement was an outcome from our  board retreat back in September led by Dr. Pamela Martin,  Executive Director Georgetown RISE, a United Nations RCE for Sustainable Development.

Vision

Raising up all in our community with hope and opportunity to create a future without poverty.

Mission

Helping Hands offers HOPE, HELP, and CHANGE in Georgetown County. On faith-based principles, we seek to create sustainable futures through job training and youth empowerment to relieve generational and situational poverty, while meeting immediate needs of food insecurity, utility support, and dental care.
