During the week of February 16, 2025, a group of Youth Employment Program (YEP) students will embark on an unforgettable journey through the Florida Everglades as part of our annual Outward Bound experience.
While their peers enjoy a break from school academics, these adventurers will be navigating rivers and forests, embracing the challenges of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. Over the course of a week, they’ll learn to rely on one another, step up as leaders, and travel by canoe or on foot—rain or shine!
This life-changing expedition, made possible through Helping Hands in partnership with NC Outward Bound, fosters resilience, self-discovery, and personal growth.
