Thanks for Being a Blessing

Amazing Support over the Holidays                                 We are indeed grateful to the Tamsberg Family Foundation for the resources to provide turkeys to our neighbors for the Christmas holidays. This wonderful support, along with the volunteer efforts of the Lowcountry Vets, who braved the cold and rain to distribute the turkeys, allowed us to be a blessing to 400 families in December.                                                          Also, due to extenuating circumstance, we were able to help with the Toys for Tots Drive this year, and received a surprise visit from Santa and his helpers from Thompson Construction, who dropped off a nice collection of toys. We distributed toys to 72 families and 155 children.                We would be remiss if we didn’t thank the many volunteers  – church groups, schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and employees, who collected food and helped distribute them to our neighbors for the Thanksgiving holiday, impacting over 400 families. Helping Hands of Georgetown is blessed to be a part of a community that truly takes care of its own, and because of you, we can continue serving those in need.
